Individual Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) Provided by gestalt, PATH, and/or certified personnel. EAL is a "hands on" learning experience using horses as active participants to help facilitate the individual's learning experience. EAL is mainly a non-riding program using equine activities such as grooming, leading, and groundwork to help promote the development of life skills through facilitated interactions with horses. EAL focuses on the client's individual, self-explorative learning by first making the experience, processing it, and then applying those learnings in everyday life. Given by Certified Horsemanship Association instructor. $50 per instruction session (unmounted and mounted) 6 sessions for $260 Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) Equine-facilitated mental health or Equine Assisted Counseling involves a mental health provider. This type of therapy can be arranged. Cost varies per mental health provider. HTEC collaborates with other nonprofits to provide individualized half or full day retreat programs or group sessions for a variety of activities. Call for more information and to reserve your date(s). Future Programs: HTEC will be developing a 4-5 week adult program, Building Resiliency Through Horsemanship in the near future which will include: safety, grooming/care of horse, understanding equine behavior and psychology, groundwork, tacking up a horse, and basic riding skills (given by certified horsemanship association (CHA) instructor). |
