This "holistic haven" offers a safe, loving and tranquil environment for healing. Our desire is to help people heal holistically from traumatic and/or emotional stress using the power and spirit of the horse and offer a variety of alternative therapies to enhance the healing process. We offer equine assisted learning and psychotherapy (licensed mental health professional involved). Alternative therapies at this time include: yoga, prayer/meditation, art/play/music/dance therapy, holistic nutrition, reiki, exercise, essential oil and herbal protocols. Also, a beautiful greenhouse, the "Holistic Hut" is here and in use!
Holistic Therapeutic Equine Center (HTEC) received nonprofit (501c3) status in September 2016. All HTEC activities are provided by Split Pine Ranch (SPR), a family-owned, horse facility "ranch" located in Black Forest, Colorado. HTEC is totally managed by an ALL volunteer staff. HTEC works in collaboration with other nonprofits, such as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), the Veteran's Administration Caregiver Support Program, and Mt Carmel Veterans Services Center to provide individualized/group equine learning activities, retreats and youth group sessions. In the future, we will be developing more partnerships within the community. HTEC prides itself on providing a unique holistic healing process for mind, body and spirit. We have a variety of farm animals (horses and chickens) that help us with our program.
